When "Law and Order" Crosses the Line

We mentioned that Republicans have a tendency to fall for "law and order" and "defense at any cost" silliness.

Here's another example, found by Boots/Sabers:

In an effort to make sure the most violent offenders are held accountable, Governor Walker today asked the Attorney General to submit a plan to implement the collection of DNA at the time of arrest for some felonies and serious sex-related offenses...

Really?  Mere 'arrest' is now an excuse for DNA collection?  We can't wait for charges to be filed?  Conviction (if any)?

The Governor ought to re-think this one.

  1. He'll have plenty of time to think about it after the Recall election.

  2. Here is where the Republicans need to listen to the Libertarians and embrace them.
