Take 39 on AGW

Having to acknowledge that one's very own pet model doesn't work is tough.

So what to do?  What to DO??

Invent a new, more complex, and even Darker-Titled model!!

"Warming Hole Delayed Climate Change Over Eastern United States," declares the headline at Science Daily, describing the results of new studies from the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS).  It seems that particulate pollution in the late 20th century created a regional "warming hole," a/k/a a cold patch, a/k/a a place where the global warming model was an abject failure for many decades....--Grim's Hall quoting some damn fool or other

Whatever.

  1. Any time observed conditions don't meet their model, they make some shit up.

  2. Not all contrary evidence falsifies a hypotheses. Cooling may be observed at that particular location, but observations GLOBAL observations fit well with the theory. Still, it is interesting to investigate why regions vary.

  3. Actually, global observations do not fit well with the theory, but you keep believing those guys who get there money by confirming the bias.

I plan on preparing for cold.

  4. D-man, as I've said about a bazillion times to your ilk, you really must learn to read outside your comfort zone.

  5. I suggest you read outside yours. If you actually LOOK at the data and "question authority" as "your ilk" claim they do, you might find the truth of the matter is that AGW is a theory on REALLY shaky ground.

But, I am certain your superior intellect trusts those of "your ilk" because they also possess the "superior intellect".

Nice echo chamber you have there, Spicey-Boy. Enjoy licking the boots of your rulers for your daily bread. I choose Liberty.

  6. Spicey-Boy: Here's your challenge. Take that superior intellect you have and go here: http://wattsupwiththat.com/2012/04/29/tisdale-on-the-17-year-itch-yes-there-is-a-santer-clause/

Yeah, I know. It's a "denier" website, no doubt paid for by the Koch Brothers (it's not). Go there and read some of the postings and come back with all the holes you punch in them.

  7. Dickman -

Choose liberty. Your gay brethren wish they could.

  8. Even though you've chosen the low road, Anon (you responded with a cowardly epithet toward me), I choose to respond without name-calling.

So tell me this: Which of the liberties of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to Gays not have?

  9. Guess I'm going to wait a long time for a response from the Leftists.
