Owen points out their latest Eric Holder-esque stunt:
...The GAB, however, is out of line here. First, it does not have the authority to make this decision. The Constitution clearly states “Filling vacancies. SECTION 14. The governor shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancies as may occur in either house of the legislature.” The governor. Not the GAB. There should not be a recall because there isn’t anyone to recall. And the governor has the sole constitutional authority to call an election to fill the seat.
It's not "out of line". It's insubordination or worse.
Order the GAB to STFU on the Galloway replacement, and hold a special election when the Governor SAYS so.
So you are ghostwriting Koch press releases now...
ReplyDeleteThere goes that razor-thin majority in the Senate now that the Democrate candidate gets the seat without having to face the Palinesque incumbent.
It's too bad that the majority of the GAB consists of former Republican leaning judges.
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad that the the GAB is non-partisan and NOT an extension of the Democrat Party. One can certainly dream!
And it's too bad that Dad29 cannot read the comments section in Owen's blog that has a rational, reasonable discussion regarding the distinct possibility that the GAB may be right on this issue when looking at other parts of the statute GERMANE to the situation.
