Defining Fraud Down: The Democrat Diddle

Christian Schneider simply body-slams the Soros-funded "report" on Wisconsin vote fraud.

As usual, controlling the language (which includes defining the terms) can change the outcome.  So:

...the Brennan Center report ... has an extremely narrow definition of “fraud” — people voting who know they are ineligible to vote (felons, for instance).

Gee.  Every time I've been stopped for speeding, I told the cop that I had no idea how fast I was going, nor did I intend to be speeding.  They never bought that.

Brennan Center does!  If only the cops were as enlightened (or Soros-funded) as the Brennan Center.

A few other factoids from the MPD's report on what normal people call fraud:

  • The MPD found one property where 128 individuals were registered to vote — all of whom signed up for the 2004 election

  • Twenty-nine voters were registered at a county office building that featured no residential living.

  • The MPD report found instances of double-voting, unopened absentee ballots appearing after the election, and deceased people voting
And then he launches the nuke:

...if I knew that the laws on the books made it impossible for me to be caught – and that even if I were caught I wouldn’t be prosecuted — it would ease my conscience a great deal. In this sense, it can be argued that more vote fraud takes place because so few people are ever arrested and convicted.

It is not a coincidence that the ACLU and Eric Holder (and other running-dogs) have commenced a campaign to further vote-fraud through their usual route:  emotional but irrational and fact-short lawyering and speechifying.  As Wisconsin demonstrated in 2010, the entire (D)/Labor Union/Statist regime is in grave danger.

Unless the graves open and pour forth their votes, again.

  1. ...the Brennan Center report ... has an extremely narrow definition of “fraud” — people voting who know they are ineligible to vote (felons, for instance).

I've read the Brennan Center report. It does not say that. It says that ineligible felon voting is ONE of several types of illegal voting. The article you link to is incorrect.

f only the cops were as enlightened (or Soros-funded) as the Brennan Center.

I followed your linked article and clicked on every link to "Soros" in it and the sources that the article linked to. Not one of them provided any source the claim that the Brennan Center is Soros-funded. Even if it were, so what? Do you similarly discount any product of Richard Mellon Scaife funded sources?

One property? Condominium? Apartment complex? Seems sort vague, doesn't it? And if these were fraudulent registrations, is there any proof that any of them voted? And if they did, would a photo ID have prevented it?

Photo ID laws are specifically meant to suppress votes.

  2. Photo ID laws are specifically meant to suppress votes.

    Wrong, Motor-Voter victim.

They're specifically made to verify the identity of the "voter."

    Your mileage may vary.

I note that you carefully avoid the word "fraud" when citing the report. No surprise there.

Soros' entire life is dedicated to demolishing the USA. Can't say that about Scaife.

  3. I COULD say that about Scaife. It may or may not be true. You said it about Soros and you don't know what you are talking about.

Voters can be identified by their signature. How does one identify the voter who votes by absentee ballot? Not by photo ID. By signature.

to verify the identity of the "voter."

An analysis of ten years of voter and election fraud by the Republican National Lawyers Association (probably NOT funded by Soros), came up with 6 convictions nationwide for voter impersonation.

    In ten years.

    Nationwide.

    Six.

  4. "Convictions."

    Yawn.

It's well known that vote fraud is committed in areas dominated by Democrats.

    Local DA's are Democrats.

Everybody and their sister in Chicago knew--many were direct witnesses--of vote fraud.

    No prosecutions, no convictions!

    Gee, we're shocked.

It's called 'selective prosecution.' Happens all the time.

    Try again.

It is? Well known by whom? Or is this urban lore? How is this known?

Vote fraud is committed ONLY by Democrats? And there are NO Democrats living, voting and committing vote fraud in Republican "dominated" areas?

In forty six states over 10 years, there are no REPUBLICAN DAs who have successfully prosecuted more than 6 cases of vote fraud?

Are you suggesting that 46 states are dominated by Democratic DAs?

Your "logic" is like "a wreath of pretty flowers which smell BAD".
