The Green Goddess Demands New Asthma Inhalers. Bow Down!

Obozo follows his Goddess.

Asthma patients who rely on over-the-counter inhalers will need to switch to prescription-only alternatives as part of the federal government's latest attempt to protect the Earth's atmosphere.

The Food and Drug Administration said Thursday patients who use the epinephrine inhalers to treat mild asthma will need to switch by Dec. 31 to other types that do not contain chlorofluorocarbons, an aerosol substance once found in a variety of spray products.

Feel better about that?  Then don't read THIS part:

...the switch to a greener inhaler will cost consumers more. Epinephrine inhalers are available via online retailers for around $20, whereas the alternatives, which contain the drug albuterol, range from $30 to $60

And who knows?  Maybe an ObozoCare Death Panel will declare that price to be too expensive.

After all, you're only human.

  1. You forgot something. Since the new inhalers are by prescription only, they will be paid for or subsidized by insurance.

  2. And YOU forgot something: the OTC's would have been paid for with HRA's, but ObozoCare makes that illegal.

If I'm not mistaken, that was during the Bush administration.

  4. That's one reason that RINOs are no longer welcome by actual, real, live voters.

See, e.g., Romney, who had his ass handed to him in Florida yesterday.

And Perry (who has his own Statist problems) ain't doing too well, either.

Keep up with the times, Jim!

  6. Jim, do you even realize that it is possible to stand up for ideals regardless of party?

  7. Why? Because it is getting a bit tiring to hear "Bush did it!!!" "Bush did it!!!" every time anyone criticizes a federal program or policy. Because someone else started it does not make a bad thing right. Under that logic Obama could go ahead and gas some jewish people and you would just say "Hitler did it!!!" and smile a smug little smile.

  8. David,

You whiffed on that one. I was responding to the very first line of Dad's post which implies that it's all President Obama's doing.

    It's not.

It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this when someone is blamed for someone else's doing.
