The DC Mind

Seems that the Brits have similar problems as do we. An over-there essayist captured the "DC Mind", (and that of London) very well:

The public will believe the politicians because—to adapt slightly the great dictum of Louis Pasteur—impossible political promises are believed only by the prepared mind.

It's all a matter of "preparing our minds", you see. That's why Obozo delivers the Same Speech, Different Day, every 3 days or so. (SS,DD has another word for the second 's', same basic meaning.)

Is YOUR 'mind prepared' for the DC Razzle-Dazzle: that only the Federal Gummint can save you from all ills, wipe away your tears, and prevent cataclysm?
