Lock, Load, and Fire at Will

Oh, yah...there's a reason for that headline.

Today is Patriots' Day which commemorates the first shots fired in the Revolutionary War at Lexington and Concord in 1775.

The Wisconsin Public Schools commemorate this date, by the way. DPI's brief tells us that the Brits marched to Concord to try to find Alex Hamilton and Sam Adams.

Other historians note that the Brits were looking for a large stash of Colonialist weapons.

  2. Umnnhhh....

You could learn "how to read a blogpost".

The Wisconsin DPI says that the Brits were chasing Al Hamilton.

Get it? The State's DPI said that.

    I merely referenced their words.

That's why the hyperlink underlines "DPI's Brief".

  3. Yes, at first I thought maybe the mistake was on their end before I posted, but I did click the hyperlink and this is what the DPI says:

    "April 19
    Patriots' Day (top)
Patriots were colonists who wanted independence from British rule. Most hoped to find peaceful ways to settle their differences with England. When the British decided to look for Samuel Adams and John Hancock, who were hiding in Concord, Paul Revere and Billy Dawes rode through the night warning other Patriots in New England. The American Revolution began when the first shots were fired at Lexington on April 19, 1775. Each side said the other fired first. Patriots' Day was established to mark the beginning of the Revolutionary War. Enacted August 30, 2001, from the 2001 Laws of Wisconsin, Act 16 budget bill."

I am not seeing Hamilton's name there?

While they are both founding fathers and their names both start with "H" you do know that Hancock and Hamilton are diffrent people? I

    You made a mistaken accusation.

Don't take it out on me.
