About Those Recall Elections
Hopper and Kapanke may be a lot safer than some think.
Remember that elections held in June are held AFTER the UW schools dismiss for the summer.
So UW-LaCrosse and UW-Oshkosh will each contribute 5,000 less votes......
Why do you guys continue to support a politician that cheats on his wife? If he breaks the marriage oath, do you think he has even the slightest tendency to honor his oath of office?
Dad29--Yeah, all those college students participate in elections by voting exclusively Democrat. Hopper and Kapanke indeed can breath a bit easier. [sarcasm]
Maybe they won't "go home" for the summer. If they are registered in their college town, they probably are residents, no? Otherwise maybe they'll learn how to vote absentee.
No, Jim, I am sure you do not cheat on your wife. I didn't mean to intend it that way. And if you took it that way, I apologize. However, I bet you did support the efforts of the late Teddy Kennedy.
If anyone has any question as to why during the census, kids attending college were to be counted where they attend college, not in the town of residence, where they vote and return during the summer and are listed as dependents on their parents 1040...one word...redistricting...don't think it isn't important.
Curse you pal, I wanted to be the one to drop that bomb!

ReplyDeleteThose who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones...
ReplyDeleteI've never cheated on my wife.

ReplyDeletePlease leave the weak sauce arguments to P-Mac.

ReplyDeleteWisconsin law is pretty clear about 'residency.' The 'resident' must intend to remain in the town.
ReplyDeleteBy definition, college students do NOT 'intend to remain' in town--at least in 90+% of the cases.

ReplyDeleteOr Bill Clinton.
ReplyDeleteTrying to be all cute with double-standards yet busted on the hypocrisy! DANG!
