...new assessment of President Barack Obama’s budget released Friday says the White House underestimates future budget deficits by more than $2 trillion over the upcoming decade.
The estimate from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office says that if Obama’s February budget submission is enacted into law it would produce deficits totaling $9.5 trillion over 10 years — an average of almost $1 trillion a year.

Not that Obama gives a flying rip.
Yah, wouldn't it be nice to have back that $4-5 trillion we pissed away on two wars and trillions more in foolish handouts to those who need no help. The cows come home and you shoot the guy who brought 'em back.
ReplyDeleteAs they say in Rome, "Dum volvo, video disco."
Buy silver, buy ammo, by farmland, barter, ditch the greenback.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that when the CBO analysis predicts something in a less favorable light towards Obama it's totally credible, but when the CBO supports Obama it's not to be trusted.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
don't think I've ever seen anything here indicating the CBO cannot be trusted. It's the numbers with which they are provided that cannot be trusted.
ReplyDelete"...pissed away on two wars and trillions more in foolish handouts to those who need no help."
ReplyDeleteYou mean the wars The Chosen One vowed to end and hasn't? Or the one he just got us into? And you must also mean that whole "entitlement" system we got goin' here where we take money from the younger generations who are just starting out and give it to those who have developed assets their entire lives? That one?
Yes, Deekaman. Obama is wrong. Which side are you on? Ready to admit that the wars and empire are costing too much, far more than NPR?
ReplyDeleteI've been saying other countries need to defend themselves for about the last 30 years. Hell, we should at least get paid for it.
ReplyDeleteEmpire? Really? If we wanted a true "empire", we would have started with Mexico and South America, not Africa and the ME. No, these are nothing more thanerrors in judgement.
So when military spending on adventures like this consumes such a large fraction of the budget, do you think you devote your oppositional energies at the proper targets?
ReplyDeleteYou mean I should be going around with BushHitler signs and wearing a mask trashing cars and businesses?
ReplyDeleteYou're not pulling me into this one.
Of course not. I'd love to hear how you opposed the war spending. Quiet whispers into your pillow at night, or something more public?
ReplyDeleteOf course not. I suppose you went with the mask and torched cars and businesses.
ReplyDeleteI generally try to keep my opposition within the bounds of civilized behavior.
I mark my protest by kicking down doors, pulling the homeowners out of bed, pulling down their shorts, and raping them.
ReplyDeleteJefferson, WI is next on my list.
Yep, more "lefty" violence, eh, Dad29?
ReplyDeleteSo the nutjob anony is off his/her/its meds again. Dad29, do your job as a good Christian man and rid your blog of such foul-stenched creatures who advocate senseless violence. God is not too happy right now, and that's a fact.
