It seems as though Wisconsin (D) yappers would like Governor Walker to produce "JOBS!!!" already, yet.
No surprise. Their Dear Leader's program has failed.
...Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi would rather not talk about - 2,837,000. That's the number of jobs lost between February 2009 and December 2010, according to the Department of Labor's Current Employment Statistics Survey...
Remember that Dear Leader's "stimulus" was supposed to "create" 8 million jobs. Remember?? So that's only a 10 million-job miss. Or so.
Let's not get around to the under-employed....
"Or save"...don't forget that part.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for the source on the 8 million job number. Little help please.
ReplyDeleteAlso I think it is misleading to say that 2.8 million jobs were lost through December 2010, when nearly 3 million jobs were lost in the first four months AFTER George W. Bush left office. That would make the average from mid 2009 to end of 2010 about zero including continued losses through 2009.
The stimulus worked.
8 million is the number from the mouth of The Chosen One. The stimulus worked? I what Universe is that true? Unemployment remains high (much higher than the "official" numbers indicate, BTW), real estate prices have yet to hit bottom, according to most reports I see, while Wall St. rakes in $$$$$$, Main Street sees nothing or less. 2 years later and mfg is just starting to show a rebound.
ReplyDeleteI argue without stimulus, you would see approximately the same results with none of the debt, since the average recession is only about 18 months (WSJ). We are 4 years into this one (again, WSJ).
Epic Keynesian fail.
