Wisconsin and Herman Cain
Interesting factoid:
Getting from “dark horse” to serious contender is a task Cain has assigned to a campaign team headed by two Republican operatives from Wisconsin, Mark Block and Scott Toomey
David--Voters engaged in a "refutation" of the political party in charge (this time, it was Democrats) because of the economic downturn, not necessarily because of the messages employed by the "experts" on the left and right. What a racket...political operative. They are the ones who "package" candidates to the masses because they think they are able bamboozle the stupid electorate. And some voters fall hook, line, and sinker to the machinations of political operatives.
Voters reacted not to some ambiguous economic phenomenon. The majority of this country is not out of work or looking at forclosure.
They rebelled against out of control spending, hopey changey teleprompter speeches devoid of honesty, the dictatorial ramming of legislature down the throats of the voter, and the utterly disgusting, decrepit and vacuous leadership of the three stooges. Obama, Reid, and Pelosi. Also known as Hussain, Dingy, and Botox.

What planet are you from? The economy was THE issue. And it was what I term the "schizophrenic" electorate consisting of blue collars, independents, and suburbanites which have historically voted for the political party they think will best get them out of their economic doldrums. In this case, in the 2010 mid-terms, it was the GOP, which had mobilized its base to say a resounding "no" to certain policies.
I'll believe it in 2012 if indeed there is a "revolution" taking place in the United States, that the "tea-party" movement has firmly established its roots and a fundamental, second wave of 1980's conservatism is at hand.
Now, even I can agree with you that Pelosi and Reid are tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum. Obama as a stooge? Whatever floats your boat. He's not as bad as you (or Dad29) make him out to be.
It is generally true that elections are decided by 'the wallet.'
However, that doesn't account too neatly for the (R) incumbents who bit the dust this time around (and there were a lot of them,) nor the smoldering and tangible animosity over ObozoCare--which, as sold, would be damn GOOD for most 'wallets.'
As to "a revolution", be serious. Not likely to happen--but then, the recession ain't over yet. Not with 19% actual unemployment. (6)
And Obozo is just as bad as I make him out to be. He has been very consistent in advancing laws, regs, and personnel who are opposed to US interests here and abroad.
Indeed, the Revolution is at hand. Long live the Governor!

And "mindless twits" are all in the eye of the beholder. Suffice to say, it would appear anyone who voted for Obama is therefore part of the "ignorant electorate" that you claim is a slam against American citizens.
Herman Cain intrigues me... He certainly gets my attention right now more than anyone else that keeps getting mentioned...
