Most of you know that Kenosha produced Chrysler engines until last week.
With the Obama takeover of that company, things changed.
President Felipe Calderon [who was cheered by the Democrat Congress for denouncing Arizona's attempts to enforce US law] says Mexico is becoming a leader in auto production, as he inaugurated a new Chrysler engine plant in the northern city of Saltillo.
The new $570 million plant will employ 700 people and produce the company's Pentastar V-6 engine for the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and later for the Town and Country 300 and 200, the Dodge Charger, Avenger, Durango and Journey.
And those engine-shipping crates will serve double-duty, transporting engines AND drugs from Mexico to the US. The drugs will not be subject to any duties or taxes!!
What a deal.
