Agenda Item for Gov. Walker, Part 9,542

So.

It seems that the Wisconsin Department of Transportation wants to make it illegal to drive 'gray market' cars on Wisconsin roads. While I think that DOT's power-madness should never be questioned, (see, e.g., 'We'll ram this choochoo up your ass!!' from Frankie the Fixer), I don't have a dog in this particular fight.

Much more interesting is this line:

The deadline to stop WisDOT’s proposed Trans 123 is Oct. 10. Unless the Legislature kills the regulation by then, it becomes law. (I could also write a piece how regulation-becoming-law is backward and anti-democratic, but that is also a subject for another time.)

'SCUSE ME??? "Regulation-becoming-law"?? Don't we pay a bunch of people to make laws?

Who the Hell made Frankie the Fixer a Supreme Legislator?

Prestegard should write his essay. Inquiring minds want to know.

  1. It's the same way, and with the same mentality, the Doylies saddled with the current version of NR 115, which severely regulates all development outside previously-established villages/cities within 1,000 feet of a lake and 300 feet of a "navigable stream".
