That stuff about homosex "marriage" confirms weird-ness.
Homosexuality was/is common and accepted in many tribal cultures (e.g. http://www.portlandmercury.com/portland/Content?oid=24792&category=23483).

Homosex marriage? Not so much.
So was cannibalism, polygamy and slavery. Does that make it right?
