Assumption Celebration, USMC Style

We find described a Spanish celebration of the Assumption which is really a tableau--

--including this line:

Half way up, the Most Holy Trinity comes to her encounter and crowns her, under the booming sound of the organ, the enthusiastic applause of the faithful, the ringing of the bells and the firing of salvos

Cavey would be pleased!

  1. Generally speaking, firing salvos in celebration is always appropriate.

One notable exception: when US Apache helicopters are in the area and might misinterpret your enthusiasm. There's kind of a track record about that.
