The Pipsqueak Barks

".....look upon me, ye mighty, and fear." --Ozymandias

U.S. Rep. Steve Kagen introduced a bill Monday mandating that BP set aside $25 billion toward expenses relating to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

The "Oil Spill Responsibility Act of 2010" would require the money to be deposited in the U.S. Treasury for use in the recovery effort, according to the Appleton Dem.

The next line is a friggin' comedy scream:

I gave BP the opportunity to do the right thing and set aside funds back in May, but they took a pass,” Kagen said in a statement. “I now have no choice but to take legislative action to guarantee that the taxpayers aren’t on the hook for BP’s negligence.

Several BP researchers are attempting to find out who "Kagen" actually is.

  1. In the raido report on the bill, Kagen mentioned that BP had come before "my committee".

It seems he can't sem to remember who he is representing or where his salary comes from.
