Another Dribble of Good News

Good news.

Industrial production advanced 1.2 percent in May after having risen 0.7 percent in April. Manufacturing output climbed 0.9 percent last month, its third consecutive monthly gain of about 1 percent, and was 7.9 percent above its year-earlier level. --FRB via CalcRisk

However, the ECRI Index has been drifting downward for a few months--which means that the caution flag is still out.

  1. Its really not that promising out there. Folks are seeing VERY minor improvements, but don't expect hiring any time soon.
