The Stupid Party (R) Has Nothing on the USCC

Every 6 weeks, like clockwork, the USCC shoots itself in the foot. Pretty soon, they'll eclipse The Stupid Party (that's the Republicans) in total dumbass moves.

A civil rights coalition that boasts the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) among its members has published a 30-second ad endorsing Solicitor General Elena Kagan, who is pro-abortion and homosexualist, for the Supreme Court.

The advertisement, which lists Kagan's various achievements while President Obama describes the ideal Supreme Court nominee in a voiceover, is available on the website of The Coalition for Constitutional Values, a project of the Leadership Counsel for Civil and Human Rights (LCCHR).

And who are the OTHER members of this illustrious group? Glad you asked.

Along with the U.S. Bishops, among LCCHR's coalition members are listed top pro-homosexuality and abortion groups, including the Human Rights Campaign, Lambda Legal, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, the National Organization for Women, the National Partnership for Women and Families, and Planned Parenthood.

Obviously, the USCC is filled with people who are educated far beyond their intelligence.

  1. The more I hear about the Catholic Church and their politics, especially at the Bishop level and at it's universities, the more I disillusioned with the Church. I love the Church because of it's beliefs and it's traditions, but I can find that in other Churches that don't seem to have thiese problems.

  2. The appropriate target(s) of your disappointment are the Bishops and priests and bureauweenies who screw up like this (or worse), not the Church herself.

You gotta admit, lasting 2000 years DESPITE these wonzo twits means something!

  3. Dan, As Dad29 said, it is the people not the Church that should be the appropriate target(s). There have been people like this from day 1, look at Judas, Ananias & Sapphira or the Judaiazers, let alone the Arians, Pelagians etc.

That the Church has survived is a sign that God is protecting it not only despite, but in spite of & to spite them.

Good news - The USCCB has cut ties with them (will have a post on it today)

Bad news - there is still a whole bunch more that the USCCB needs to clean up.

  4. The corruption in the USCCB is beginning to be exposed, especially in the Dem controlled CCHD.
