Smith also asked the president if he is aware of the extreme terms some use to describe him, such as "socialist" or "Nazi."
"Well, I think that when you listen to Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck, it's pretty apparent, and it's troublesome, but keep in mind that there have been periods in American history where this kind of vitriol comes out," Mr. Obama said. "It happens often when you've got an economy that is making people more anxious, and people are feeling like there is a lot of change that needs to take place. But that's not the vast majority of Americans. I think the vast majority of Americans know that we're trying hard, that I want what's best for the country."Neither Rush nor Beck has called him a "Nazi."
Obama is a Statist and likely a Marxist. He doesn't like the polls which now place the (D) brand at its lowest point in more than 50 years.
And we note that he's back to self-assigning a grade--this time on his 'effort.' He's wrong, of course: if the "vast majority" of Americans actually 'knew' that he 'wanted what's best for the country,' they would not have put the (D) brand in trouble--NOR would they think that his RahmAJamma of ObamaCare was an "abuse of power."
He's in deep doodoo, and tries to blame Limbaugh, Beck, et al.
Wrong, Barry.
He's got a point though:

Media Matters? Seriously? What is your point? Obama and his administration use exactly the tactics used by, not only Hitler, but Stalin, Mao, Castro, Che......
ReplyDeleteIf the shoe fits....
Yeah, the George Soros Steno Pool is really a good source, J. Not biased at all.
ReplyDeleteEven if we accept MedMat as reliable, so what?
ReplyDeleteThe comparos are valid. WiddleBoy is using the same techniques.
He could compare Obamamamama to Wilson, too--who ALSO used the same procedures.
Uh, it was Harry Smith who brought up the Nazi reference. You folks are so blinded by your hatred that you lose whatever feeble grasp on sanity that you may have ever possessed. I use the word "may" because from your divel it isn't obvious that you ever had a grasp.
ReplyDeleteAnon, as usual, I have to ask, WTF are you talking about? Come on, there buddy. We're stupid. Give us small words and easy concepts.
ReplyDeleteThe extremists are on the Left. And in the white House.
Kiss my ass.
Deekaman -- Are you a recovering priest? Your last comment suggests as much. Sorry -- not into that kind of activity (not that there's anything wrong with it).
ReplyDeleteI reference Media Matters only because they cite direct quotes running contrary to your blog post. Beck and Rush have most certainly labeled the President a Nazi. It evokes anger and rage, which is earns them ratings.
ReplyDeleteIt's also why people who actually believe this kind of stuff really shouldn't be taken seriously. It appears the President agrees.
Same goes for those that believe the vitriol is only coming from the right wing.
ReplyDeleteThey're clueless.
What bothers me is the smug attitude that Obama has. If he really believes that the vast majority of Americans think that they(Congress/Obama) are working hard at anything but changing the structure of this country fundamentally, he is delusional. I say that partly in jest because Barry isn't delusional on that point, he knows that the vast majority of Americans don't like what he is doing. He'll find that out in Nov. for sure. In the mean time, it's the "Chicago" way.
ReplyDeleteAh, the Grand Ole Party marching in lockstep into oblivion. Tis a remarkable sight to behold such intransigence and, and bear witness to the noisy collapse that looms ahead. Where's Nelson Rockefeller when you need him?
ReplyDeleteNeither Rush nor Beck has called him a "Nazi."
ReplyDeleteNo, Beck just had a picture of Obama and his pals in Nazi regalia in April 2009, with the implication that he and others are in lockstep with one of the most despicable men in world history. Offensive? Absolutely. Against free speech? Hell, no.
I suppose Dad29 is "telling the truth"--Beck never stated in those exact words, but it's dangerously close to lying. Furthermore, Obama is NO more Marxist than Jesus himself.
rudepundit.blogspot.com/2009/04/glenn-beck-puts-barack-obama-in-nazi.html
BIG difference between comparing methods and saying "he's a Nazi."
ReplyDeleteLemmesee heah, Gomer:
He is a Statist: the 9th and 10th Amendments are meaningless to him.
He is a Marxist, "redistributing" the wealth. Or, if you like, he's a Socialist rather than a Marxist.
He has Fascist tendencies, happy to own/control finance and manufacturing entities.
But he will never be a Nazi, for the Nazis were NATIONALIST. Obama has a very strong dislike for the USA (and all its allies.)
He died providing a role-model incident for Bill Clinton.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, the ash heap of history.
"But he will never be a Nazi, for the Nazis were NATIONALIST."
ReplyDelete...and the Nazis sort of exterminated people by the tens of millions, right dadster? You meant to add that part too right?
We should just move on here. This thread is sucking the intelligence out of my body one comment at a time.
