You are one sick puppy linking to "a joke" that goes against what Jesus stood for--peace. Right, our forefathers in heaven are going to beat the living hell out of Obama for "ruining our country".
Oh, my mistake, you don't really mean you want Obama beaten and bloodied, right? It's just a reminder that the good people here in America will take him to the proverbial woodshed come election time in 2012. Got it!
How is this "funny story" any different than the union leader's memo in New Jersey where he "in jest" wanted the governor dead? Those on the right want heads to roll for his words.
I wonder what your priest would say if he knew that you link to sadists.
Go to confession and pray for forgiveness. The joke is blasphemous. NO ONE in heaven would raise their voice or lay a hand on anyone they "disapproved" once they got there. They must have received God's grace to get the Pearly Gates, correct?
Matthew 5:38-42
You have learned that they were told, “Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.” But what I tell you is this: Do not set yourself against the man who wrongs you. If someone slaps you on the right cheek, turn and offer him your left. If a man wants to sue you for your shirt, let him have your coat as well. If a man in authority makes you go one mile, go with him two. Give when you are asked to give; and do not turn your back on a man who wants to borrow."
Wrong, Anony. This "funny story", as you call it, in no way compares with the NJ one. It does NOT wish the One dead. In fact, I hope people are praying for him. That said, it's political humor laced with a bit of truth. Some of the things the One is doing would truly appall the Founders. Loosen up a bit. You'll live longer.
In both instances (NJ and the "joke"), the message is that violence of a public figure is acceptable. It's in poor taste.
Furthermore, to think that God would condone this beatdown in heaven (it's SACRED!) is personally disgusting as a Christian male.
Would you tell this joke to your priest? Would he "laugh"? How about your congregation? What would be their response?
There is truth in the joke in that some people are praying for Obama to have his brains bashed in. Those are extremists. They are the ones who will destroy our country.

You write for The Onion during the day?
ReplyDeleteLet's review your stellar track record for the past few days.
ReplyDelete1) Linking to an anti-Semitic website to further an agenda (see Sarkozy).
2) Refusing to retract a part of a story (see Kind, Compassionate, Left) that even Queen Smear admitted was baseless.
3) Making a mockery of heaven via "humor".
You and the radical left have one thing in common--fear and hate (ok, two).
Don't you have some floral-arranging to do out there on the East Coast?
ReplyDeleteIt was a joke Anon.
ReplyDeleteDon't be bamboozled, Strupp. There's truth to that "joke".

Anony's off his meds again, Billiam.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I figure. I haven't noticed him trolling around here before. Should have figured with the 'anon' tag.
ReplyDeleteTry formulating a well-thought counter argument next time rather than the old cliche "he's off his meds again".
