Some Free Advice for Gov. Walker (R-WI)

Pat McIlheran saw a WSJ article which gives us pause. One small part:

“At the behest of the public employee unions, Congress imposed ‘maintenance of effort’ spending requirements on states. These federal laws prohibit state legislatures from cutting spending on 15 programs, from road building to welfare, if the state took even a dollar of stimulus cash for these purposes.”

Free advice to Scott Walker: veto any budget which contains spending provisions following this mandate.

Then invite Obama to enforce it, if he can.

There will be a rifle behind every blade of grass in this State......
