This is truly mind-boggling.
Child-care regulators who believe day care providers might be abusing or neglecting children or might be involved in drug activity would be required to report their suspicions to local law enforcement agencies, under a bill set to circulate in the state Capitol on Thursday
Your first reaction might be "What? Regulators do NOT report suspicions of drug activity?"
And the answer is .........
In one case, an inspector wrote in a report that she was unable to respond to a complaint because the person who called was anonymous, and she couldn't contact that person to say that her department doesn't investigate drug use and to call the police instead.
Simply beyond understanding. The "inspector" couldn't call the cop-shop?
What, the phones don't work?
The system works!!
