ReplyDeleteEvery single woman that I know that has had breast cancer was under 50. The most recent is 48 and in chemo now for an agressive type found on her mammogram this July.
ReplyDeleteOf note - GE's new insurance plan that starts Jan 1 will pay 100% of preventive screenings (not subject to any deductible) if they are recommended by this task force. If they aren't on the list, its out-of-pocket before deductible - 80% after. Unfortunately, they published all their information for this year saying mammograms were covered.
Any bets on how long it takes for Medicaid and other state plans like BadgerCare to follow that lead.
