Well...
America's relationship with the Muslim world cannot and will not be based on opposition to al Qaida," he said. "We seek broad engagement based upon mutual interests and mutual respect."
"We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over so many centuries to shape the world for the better, including my own country," Obama said
Parse, parse, parse.
Islam has aggresively fought against Catholics and Jews, from its birth to today's date, albeit the fight against Christianity has been less pronounced since the Muslims got their asses kicked out of Spain back in the 1492, and after Jan Sobieski stopped them at the gates of Vienna in 1683--tossing them back into the Balkans (where the low-level shootin' war has been going on ever since.)
The fight against the Jews has been operative ever since the founding of Israel.
At the same time, it is true that AlQuaeda certainly does NOT represent "all Muslims."
Ironically, the Muslims have led the fight against Obama's favorite bunch--the babykillers--in the United Nations. In THAT regard, they have 'contributed to progress.'
But I don't think that Obama meant to compliment them for that, folks.
It's becoming pretty clear that TCO does nothing but campaign. Every speech is nothing more than telling the audience what they want to hear.
ReplyDeleteIf I can see it, why can't others? Obamalove is blind?

Doubtful. On that, even the most tolerant liberals will attempt to "correct" their "wrong" thinking.
They did cause us to form the USMC. But I doubt he was referring to that either.
