WI Revenue Down. BOHICA!

Don't you love to read this stuff?

Gov. Jim Doyle warned Wednesday of a potential gap of $3 billion or more between tax collections and state spending in the two-year budget cycle that begins July 1.

To no one's surprise, Doyle was lying with numbers again:

The governor’s $3 billion budget deficit is based on “funny numbers,” since they assume state agencies would get the 8% spending increase they originally requested, said Assembly Speaker Mike Huebsch (R-West Salem).

Aside from nature, could there be a reason for Doyle to lie?

Sure:

Doyle said he plans to submit a 2009-’11 budget next year that does not raise income or sales taxes but added, “You can’t say anything is off-limits.”

Gasoline tax increase. Driver's license fee increase. Auto/truck registration fee increase. Steal more money from the transportation fund. Steal more money from the doctors.

By the way, let's go back to this one:

The governor’s $3 billion budget deficit is based on “funny numbers,” since they assume state agencies would get the 8% spending increase they originally requested

EIGHT PERCENT?
Are they f*&^%ng CRAZY?
