Why Palin is Hated

You can infer a lot from language, especially as it is used at the UN.

...A key sign of what is at work, she said, is revealed in the very words we speak. Over her years as a reporter on U.N. debates, she has noted a global paradigm shift manifest in vocabulary changes: spouse to partner, universal values to global ethics, population control to reproductive rights, parenting to child-rearing, the family to the family-and-all-its-forms. And these are just a few. Meanwhile, such words as service, conscience, virgin, and truth have been lost all together—and, of the stray appearances mother makes in U.N. documents, all are in the unenviable context of “single mothers” or “poor mothers.”

For some, "culture" is malleable.

As though changing the language actually changes the world.

  1. Sadly Dad, to many who think like some on the left and the UN, it does. Happy thoughts, understanding others, all cutures are equal, yadda yadda yadda. They don't even admit their mistake when the real world intrudes and the bad guys take their life.

  2. Like in '1984', the whole purpose of Newspeak was to mold the thoughts of the populace into a more controllable pattern.
