This is the guy who instituted "Romney-Care" in Massachusetts--which even his (D) successor (Patrick) can't afford to keep running? The guy who illegally "blessed" same-sex marriages in Massachusetts?

But Romney will have a larger problem than merely burying Palin.
It will be finding Conservatives who have any interest in him, whatsoever.

They consider them to be hicks and hayseeds, bitter clingers to guns and religion. They're an embarrassment on the DC cocktail party circuit.

ReplyDeleteIf you look the poll up you will see it's based on automated calls to republican houses, not the internet. Obviously if it were an internet poll it would not be scientific.
ReplyDeleteNow regarding Fred, we all know he can't win a state (or even come in second). Jindal is another story, but you would think he must be at 16% in the other category.
Maybe Newsweak should try calling outside the Boston-Washington corridor.

They hang a "conservative" label on the likes of Colin Powell, who's anything but, as well as the other twits who jumped on the Barack Hussein Obama bandwagon rather than get run over by it, in order to get invites to all the really cool cocktail parties in Georgetown.
Conservative is Middle America, not Peggy Noonan. Conservative is the rugged individuals of the Mountain West, not Christopher Buckley or Kathleen Parker.
Methinks you are one of those countryclub snobs a la Judge Smails. Here in the Racine area, it's the North bay/Wind Point crowd, a bunch of clueless losers that couldn't find their ass with both hands.

Peter you are really going off on a tangent and not responding to the poll comment I made. NEWSWEEK does not define the word conservative, nor do they use Peggy Noonan or Colin Powell in the poll. It's simply registered republican voters. You seem to be changing the subject and to an large extent burying your head in the sand with respect to the poll numbers and geography. Making up excuses will not make the data go away, Romney is the most popular republican of those polled.
ReplyDeleteRepublican does not equal conservative. You should know that. Take the so-called "Main Street Republicans." They're not conservative. Naybe fiscally conservative but conservative overall.
