No Runny found an article in Investors' Business Daily about "Public Allies," the Alinskyite group founded by Obama in Chicago.
“Our alumni are more than twice as likely as 18-34 year olds to . . . engage in protest activities,” Public Allies boasts in a document found with its tax filings.
When they’re not protesting, they’re staffing AIDS clinics, handing out condoms, bailing criminals out of jail and helping illegal aliens and the homeless obtain food stamps and other welfare.
Barack Obama was a founding member of the board of Public Allies in 1992, resigning before his wife became executive director of the Chicago chapter of Public Allies in 1993.
Not all the recruits appreciate the PC indoctrination. “It was too touchy-feely,” said Nelly Nieblas, 29, of the 2005 Los Angeles class. “It’s a lot of talk about race, a lot of talk about sexism, a lot of talk about homophobia, talk about -isms and phobias.”
Isn't that special?
So yah, they have a Milwaukee chapter.
We’re changing the face and practice of leadership in Milwaukee.
At Public Allies Milwaukee, we believe changing times call for a new kind of leadership. Since 1994, we’ve developed more than 275 young leaders. Allies are young, diverse, and passionate social change makers who support community projects in partnership with hundreds of local nonprofit organizations.
That would be your money funding it:
Our Allies change their lives and our community through a rigorous AmeriCorps program that combines full-time, paid apprenticeships in nonprofits with intensive skills training, active community-building projects, personalized coaching, and critical reflection
"Critical reflection" on the "-isms."
They have "partners" in Milwaukee, too.
American Jewish Committee, American Red Cross, CORE/El Centro, The Boys & Girls Club, Big Step WRTP, Center for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Friends of Milwaukee's Rivers, The Park People, City of Milwaukee Health Department, Justice 2000, Milwaukee District Attorney's Office, Milwaukee Public Theatre, Milwaukee Urban Gardens, Social Development Commission, TALC New Vision, Safe & Sound, Uinited Community Center, Urban Underground, and YMCA.
Huh. Not the Election Commission?
You can find out what these folks do here. I can't figure it out based on the descriptions provided, but I don't do agit-prop-speak. (Only 4 languages in school...)

They aren't getting rich--salaries range up to $1800/month plus a leaving-bonus of $4K or so.
This whole line is getting out of hand. "Friends of Milwaukee's Rivers"? You guys want to make an enemy out of them for this election?
ReplyDeleteWhen I was at the Red Cross (that bomb thrower Scott Walker also used to work there, you know), the public ally helped hand out ponchos at fire scenes. Real Guy Fawkes stuff.
I know Public Allies who's jobs included teaching kids to read and picking up litter in the parks. Oh no - watch out for the liberal agenda!!!!! It's gonna getcha.
