VERY Expensive Handgun

From one of the McGee/Jackson stories:

Stewart, 52, reported to police on May 22 that a burglar stole $4,800 in cash and a $2,000 semiautomatic handgun.

I've only seen 2 or 3 commercially-available handguns priced at $2K or so.

    You can spend $2K+ on a Wilson Combat .45, and maybe a factory-accurized/tuned S&W.

    IIRC, Springfield also has a high-end .45 in that price range.
