That's "Catholic in Name Only" , folks.
Incoming Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi wants you to know she is a Catholic. She’s going to receive Communion in a very public display of her Catholicism on January 3rd during her swearing in week. It is inappropriate that she do so. And it is inappropriate under Canon 915 that it be given to her.
John Kerry pulled the same crap. The Canon Law question revolves around Pelosi's unqualified support for abortion. Abortion is a "non-negotiable" no-no in the eyes of the Church.
Canon 915 reads:
"Those upon whom the penalty of excommuication or interdict has been imposed or declared, and others who obstinately persist in manifest grave sin, are not to be admitted to Holy Communion."
The "...manifest grave sin" here is the votes for abortion funding, etc.
I bet that Pelosi will commit her sacrelige in front of a prelate that will assume the "I'm not her bishop, so who am I to judge" attitude. It's amazing what lengths that clergy will go to to turn a blind eye to the desecration of our Lord.
ReplyDeleteYes, you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar, but it begs the question: Who wants flies to begin with?
Seems to me the bigger sin is electing those people to public office.
ReplyDeleteThere are many CINO, which can stand for either Catholic or Christian(for non-catholics), who vote for these people. They'll line up for Obama, ignoring his voting record. They mistakenly believe that your "faith" doesn't belong in the public square, that it's a private thing. They're wrong, of course. Your faith, as well as you "Christian-ness" is a part of every facet of your life. They are NOT separate...
