Feinie (D-AlQuaeda) Likes Gay Marriage
Feinie now has a triple play, voting for partial-birth abortion, against the Patriot Act, and (at least theoretically) for the fiction of gay marriage.
What would you prefer loving, committed gay couples to do? Curl up into a ball and die? Geez.
My aunt had to get married in Mexico because they wouldn't marry her here in America. She's not a lesbian - but it was the 1950's, and interracial marriage was banned here. When the courts overturned that, they whined about 'activist judges' and 'undermining traditional marriage' then, too. 80% of Americans opposed interracial marriage when it was first introduced.
What's popular ain't always right, and what's right ain't always popular.
Treating loving, committed gay couples as human beings who can form lifelong bonds is most certainly right.
Your Aunt married a man. My argument is now, and always has been, that positive law cannot contradict natural law without serious consequences on a number of fronts.
You are ABSOLUTELY correct when you state that 'what's popular ain't always right.' The fiction of homosexual marriage is decidedly popular, particularly with the pointy-headed Intellectualoids.
Also notice, Joe, that in a Judeo Christian society as ours, no mainstream Judeo Christian church recognizes, condones and or teaches "gay marriage" as a value or Christian ideal.
Only God himself may define marriage. I have been paying very close attention and have NOT heard of any "visions" of God coming forth and saying that "gay marriage" is acceptable.
I'm sorry, if you don't like our country, I am sure France would love to take you in.

Ummmnnnhh--no, Joe, that's not my answer.

But it ain't right, Joe.
There are some things which society will tolerate--for example, homosexual sodomy (not child- or teen-rape, please...)
ReplyDeleteIncluded among the "tolerated" are the items you mention, plus adultery.
In vitro is an interesting question--it may become illegal, but a consensus must be built.
Tolerance is a good thing--but not to excess. Sorta like cigars.
