On a busy news day, when Congresscritters were waxing hysterical at Big Oil presidents and a bombing in Jordan drew attention as well, Cong. Curt Weldon spent a bit of time on Able Danger, again.
Not only did the Able Danger group identify (in advance) a number of the 9/11 conspirators, they ALSO predicted the attack on the US Cole--twice.
But the 9/11 Commission, which included a Clintonista (Jamie Gorelick) papered over the Able Danger group, dismissing them as "irrelevant," and not even acknowledging that the Able Danger group had testified before the Committee. Can you spell C Y A? Recall that Jamie Gorelick was involved with the Pentagon AND the Justice Department, and had authored the infamous 'Chinese wall' memorandum preventing utilization of foreign-gained intelligence in domestic (FBI) investigations.
In other words, the Clintonistas have very dirty (and very bloody) hands.
In the words of the inestimable Captain:
With the DIA smearing one of the whistleblowers and the Pentagon blocking Congressional investigations, it certainly appears that Weldon is right about the cover-up. If Able Danger was "simply irrelevant", we would have had a hearing in no time on it and allowed it to pass discredited into history. Instead, both the Pentagon and the Congress appear scared to death of Able Danger. Why?
