Duhhh!

A team of doctors will today accuse Hollywood of irresponsibility over its portrayal of sex and drugs after a review of some of the biggest blockbusters from the last 20 years showed that only one movie made reference to a condom.

None of the top 200 films promoted safe sex, and nobody ended up with an unwanted pregnancy or any infection. The doctors, writing in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, say filmmakers should reflect the real consequences of unsafe sex and illicit drug use in their work.

...and THIS team is not a bunch of Jerry Falwell's guys:

"The movie industry influences the perception of billions of people around the world," said Hasantha Gunasekera...[and his two co-authors, Simon Chapman and Sharon Campbell]...[ from Sydney University.]

Another way to look at it, of course, is to understand that movies are NOT reality.

  1. Do you really mean that movies aren't reality? Do you really mean that problems can't be solved in an hour and a half? Place blame on the parents that let their kids watch this garbage. Blame the people who keep 'funding' these movies and shows. Hollywood doesn't get it.

  2. Right on, neo. Although I don't like Hollywood too much, it's pretty stupid of these docs to make this statemant. It's funny to watch the liberals go at it.
