Your political parties. They draw their mailing lists from those registrations. It's very convenient for them, ya'know.
Exactly. And Trump trotted it out there as if it were some sort of election interference. His prime-time statement amounted to a hill of beans with no new evidence or proof.
ReplyDeleteThe left-leaning Brennan Center for Justice found 30 instances of noncitizen voting out of 23.5 million votes as it reviewed in the 2016 election. Meanwhile, the conservative Heritage Foundation found just 24 instances of noncitizen voting over the 20-year period between 2003 and 2023.
ReplyDeleteYou miss the obvious. Red China can use those US citizen registrations. They can have their agents request mail-in ballots, pretending to be--e.g.---"students" at UW-Madison who are registered but who have already left the country. They can register you in another State--and "vote" there.
