Last week, Trump told the press that 'all the Iranians we wanted to talk to about a surrender are dead.' That followed an aerial assault on Tehran.
Two days ago, a new Iranian leader (son of the old one) was targeted and killed 4 hours after his election.
Now Iran has another leader.
If this guy assumes room temperature very soon, the pattern becomes obvious: someone wants these 'leaders' dead so Trump can NOT negotiate surrender.
IOW, "someone" wants to continue this war until not one stone sits on another in Iran.
Hmmmmm.
…….Israel’s military warned that it would pursue any successor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as well as anyone involved in appointing the next leader.
ReplyDeleteIn a statement, the Israeli military said Iran’s ruling system was trying to rebuild itself and choose a new leader after Khamenei’s killing, and said the Assembly of Experts was expected to convene soon in Qom.
The military said Israel would continue to track “every successor” and “every person who seeks to appoint a successor,” and issued a direct warning to those planning to take part in the meeting.
“We warn all those who intend to participate in the meeting to choose a successor that we will not hesitate to target you as well,” it said...,.,,,

Wow
93 million people can’t have a leader? Really?
Neither can the U.S. apparently. In unjust war news….
DeleteIran’s Foreign Minister confirmed it: the US struck a freshwater desalination plant on Qeshm Island using HIMARS launched from Bahrain’s Jufair base. Thirty villages lost their water supply. His response was measured but unambiguous – “the US set this precedent, not Iran”.
MAGA by extension is supporting Israel.
That is normally why you don't kill the political leadership; who else can negotiate a surrender?
ReplyDeleteOf course, there's no guarantee that they will negotiate one even if you leave them alive. If they feel very safe, why would they? For a good and moral leader, perhaps because they are moved by the suffering of their people: but Iran just killed several tens of thousands of its people just to shut them up. That's not going to work either.
Breaking Iran up is probably going to work, which will limit the harm any future government can do. Cutting oil shipments to China off from Iran is going to work -- has already, because they destroyed the main terminal's power supply and no rebuilding can happen while the air war continues. That might create pressure to surrender from China eventually; already the Chinese say they'll only provide 'moral support' to Iran. Russia isn't even providing that; they say, 'that alliance treaty we signed was with Khamenei, and where is he now?'
Maybe at some point along the chain of dead leaders, you'll find the leader whose main idea is to surrender very publicly and intentionally in order to stay alive. Maybe; but somebody has to pull a rabbit out of his hat. There's not a clear line for how this works out in evidence.
“Breaking Iran up is probably going to work”
DeleteYou mean like how it worked in Vietnam and Afghanistan?
“Cutting oil shipments to China off from Iran is going to work”
Temporarily.
“Russia isn't even providing that; they say, 'that alliance treaty we signed was with Khamenei, and where is he now?'”
To the contrary.

“Maybe at some point along the chain of dead leaders, you'll find the leader whose main idea is to surrender very publicly and intentionally in order to stay alive.”
Their fanaticism won’t allow it.
As far as Dad29’s comment that “someone wants these 'leaders' dead so Trump can NOT negotiate surrender”, Trump is part of this problem. His son in law WANTS this chaos.
Good News!!
ReplyDeleteLook what is happening wih young Republicans!
Israel-Slamming GOP Candidate Dominates Youth Vote In Florida Governor Race
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/israel-slamming-gop-candidate-dominates-youth-vote-florida-governor-race
…….In the latest indication of a sea change in US politics, a Republican Florida gubernatorial candidate who's made opposition to US support of Israel a cornerstone of his campaign is winning the young-GOP vote by a wide margin. Combining social media savvy with oratorical flair, the Georgetown dropout-turned-investor and hedge fund manager is likely to continue making gains in his long-shot drive to succeed term-limited Ron DeSantis.,,,,
…Whatever the final tally, however, his domination of the youth vote may portend the end of the GOP's role as bastion of support for Israel. Chasing Trump-endorsed frontrunner Byron Donalds, James Fishback has only reached mid-single-digits among the broad GOP electorate. However, among 18-to-34-year-olds, Fishback trounces Donalds, 32% to 8%………..
…………… Fishback's campaign stresses a hot-button issue for younger voters: affordability. Along those lines, he's proposing the elimination of property taxes on homesteaded houses, abolishing tolls, and blocking data centers to ease pressure on electricity prices. He also opposes H-1B visas, with the idea of preserving job opportunities for Floridians. He wants to lower the age for any firearm purchase to 18, seeks an abortion ban, and has proposed a 50% sin tax on OnlyFans creators to pay for teacher salaries and school lunches. Opposing mass surveillance, he's promised to ban Palantir from every government contract in Florida." …..
…….However, it's Fishback's pointed rhetoric about support for the State of Israel that marks his campaign as a watershed in US politics -- because it's coming from the mouth of a Republican, and is clearly resonating with young conservatives. His statements have only grown more pointed with the launch of the US-Israeli war on Iran. Speaking on the campaign trail last week, he offered this frontal assault:
FISHBACK: Israel roped us into this war because they are TOO COWARDLY to fight for themselves!
If they were so convinced that Iran was a threat, they could have done it themselves, but they want to spill OUR BLOOD, OUR TREASURE, spend OUR MONEY, because the Israeli government is a bunch of COWARDS!
