"Tariff Inflation"? Nope.

Cadged from the Epoch Times through Ace:

Tariff-sensitive items were little changed over the past 12 months.

The apparel index is up 0.2 percent year over year, while the new-vehicle index has risen 0.6 percent over the 12 months ending in November. Additionally, on an annualized basis, appliances have increased by 0.5 percent, smartphones have declined by 9.4 percent, and footwear has dipped by 0.1 percent...

But But But 25-year-old pimpled "reporters" told us that DOOM DOOM DOOM is here.

You mean we cannot trust them to be correct???

  1. Meanwhile, the CEO of Ford recently said they are eating 2 BILLION in tariff costs. And if you think that will continue, you are out of your mind.

  3. A mere $2BN?? Assuming your story is true, let's compare that with the NINETEEN BILLION DOLLAR WRITEOFF FoMoCo will incur when ditching the all-electric pickup truck "mistake"

And yes. Ford was dumb to build the F150. Should have stuck to smaller more efficient and less expensive EV.

People want affordable EVs. Not Trucks. But they are so stuck on the vehicle that pays the bills (F150) they can’t get there heads out of their asses.

The rest of the world is buying cheap Chinese EVs with amazing tech, but we can’t have them due to protectionism.

  6. Protectionism

How about America for the Americans?
    How about American first
How about an economy that allows 30 and unders to buy homes and start families

Tariffs are an old idea made new.

The Ford motor company will just need to be able to adjust now won’t they?

The American dream is just not for the Ford motor corporation you know

  7. Americans want options. Not to be forced to buy domestic, unless it is the best option. And at this point, most don’t care where it is made as long as it is affordable.

And Ford isn’t killing the F150 EV. They are going hybrid.

As the parent of a teenager, I want him to have an affordable lifestyle when they move out.

  8. Amusing remark about "affordability."

Your Hero, Cabbage-Head, created the price problem.

But under Trump, average wage has gone up 4%+ in less than one year, while inflation has decreased. You will also note--were you not brain-dead--that housing prices are beginning to decline because 20 MILLION illegals, brought here by Your Hero, Cabbage-Head, are suddenly vacating their premises.

And there is no inflation-effect from tariffs--but there is the real possibility that the national debt will be reduced by them.

So stuff your silly-assed "affordability" mantra right up your ass.
