Maduro Acts Against the Church

At some point in time, it was inevitable for Maduro to cross swords with the Church.

Cardinal Baltazar Porras, one of the staunchest clerical critics of the Venezuelan regime, was briefly detained by police and had his passport annulled after he tried to board a flight on Dec. 10.

The cardinal was informed that he has been banned from leaving the country....

...Tensions between the Church and government have risen since the canonization of the first two Venezuelan saints, Saint José Gregorio Hernández and Saint Carmen Rendiles, on Oct. 19.

A few days before the canonization, the Venezuelan bishops published a pastoral letter in which they called for the release of the more than 800 political prisoners in the country.

And in an Oct. 17 event in Rome commemorating the canonizations, Cardinal Porras said that the situation in Venezuela was “morally unacceptable [including] the growth of poverty, militarization as a form of government to incite violence, corruption, and lack of autonomy of public powers, and the disrespect of the people’s will.”...

In other words, Maduro acts like the Democrat Party.

No wonder the Democrats support the drug cartels over the US national interest.

  4. You have to make stuff up?

The US is (FINALLY!!!!) at war with narco-terrorists. So happens a lot of them are Venezuelan. In fact, reports are that Maduro runs a small cartel himself.

I'd go so far as to say that the US is at war with narcotics pushers, terrorists or not. And that's what we voted for.

  5. No. Venezuela is SO minor in the narco problem. The Fent comes from China and goes to Mexico and then to the US. The Coke is from Columbia. If this were truly about drugs, we would be focused on many other countries.

This is purely about the dictator and his control of the oil. Trump is trying to pull a Bush Iraq war. By supporting this, you are supporting or defending this you are just playing into the gov't continued war for oil.

    Congrats on that.
