One of the highest-ranking Deep State operatives is someone named Van der Leyen, who is the President of the European Commission.
Proof that she's another Deep State operative?
... She is notoriously negligent with facts. Here she is caught outright lying to spread fake anti-Russian propaganda....
A suspected Russian interference attack targeting Ursula von der Leyen disabled GPS navigation services at a Bulgarian airport and forced the European Commission president’s plane to land using paper maps.--MOA quoting Financial Times
We saw the same story and thought it was interesting. That's because we didn't know about GPS, and "paper maps." Now we've learned something!
... GPS navigation is based on receiving radio signals from satellites. There is no way to selectively block or disturb these for just a single receiver. If someone would have manipulated GPS in that area it would effected every GPS receiver in the same geography. But I could not find any reports from Bulgaria that taxi drivers or other people using GPS navigation had any trouble with it...
Of course, once the lying started, more and more lying followed.
...GPS failure does not mean that one has to use "paper maps". (There are by the way no longer any "paper maps" on professional airliners. Maps are stored digitally.)* Modern planes do not depend on GPS. They mainly use their Inertial Reference System. They can also navigate by following ground radar signals. Airports for regular landing of jets have Instrument Landing Systems installed. Short range radio signals from the ground will guide the plane onto the runway. There is no need to wait "for an hour"*....
An hour late? Perhaps she had an enjoyable hour with an intimate friend--or perhaps she had to sober up a bit.
Either way, be on notice that she cannot be trusted.
* See combox for more info making these statements "iffy."
Jeppesen still offers paper aviation charts. Digital subscriptions are all the rage these days, but having paper redundancy is still an option.
ReplyDeleteMany larger airports now have parallel runways and only one or two have an instrument landing system, with the rest of the runways using GPS landing procedures. Aircraft spacing also has to be larger without GPS so that would also cause delays if GPS is disrupted.
ReplyDeleteHere is a GPS interference map that regularly shows interference in eastern Europe.
