GM's EV Sales: Zit on Ass of Elephant

 It's no wonder that GM is going to put money into its internal-combustion plant rather than into EV's.

EV's do not sell, although they do make nice golf carts.

GM North America 2Q stats tell the tale:

849K vehicle sales vs. 903[K] in the year-ago quarter

Of that 849K vehicles sold:

 U.S. GM EV sales totaled 46.3K

Use your microscope.  That's 5% of total US vehicle sales.  (The AMC Pacer sold 117K in 1976.) 

It is true that Corvette sales are also microscopic (about 7,600/quarter) compared to total vehicle sales.

But Corvettes make a LOT of money for GM (and its dealers.)

EV's?  Losers all around.
