Did the Fitzgeralds Fail Wisconsin?

We have these two Fitzgeralds in the Legislature. One runs the Senate; the other runs the Assembly.

We also have a Republican Governor.

When they all assumed office, the Fitzgeralds prioritized legislative initiatives.

They decided that vote-fraud was not a priority. After all, it would be "difficult" for the overworked County Clerks to "fix" their systems to.....oh, I dunno.......make them HONEST?

500 votes later.......

  1. Wow, insult the overworked county clerks. Is it easier to insult people when you're anonymous and on a blog? Would it be more difficult to meet a county clerk, see what they do, and then bluster and call them dishonest? Is this how you taught your children to behave? Is this how you'd recommend a job-seeker or employee to behave?

So who's in charge of fixing the Fitzgeralds and Walker to make them honest, too?

  2. I keep saying, they should have gotten voter ID and concealed carry (two practical and useful items that would help Wisconsin a lot) rammed through the legislature.

But, oh wait, they decided to just dick around and deal with the budget, freezing all progress.

    Great move GOP. Great move.

  3. Someone once told me that elections have consequences, so deal with it. Our guy/gal won, therefore accept it. The will of the people have spoken!

Again, at least that's what someone (cough, Dad29) told me.

    So it's final? I don't think so.

The (D) solution: lying and cheating, hasn't been implemented yet.

So your guy/gal may have lost.

  8. Republicans are incapable of lying and cheating? On what do you base this opinion?

  9. If Kloppenberg loses, and it's a possibility, then it was voter fraud on the part of Republicans. Case closed, end of story.

Now, do I believe what I just wrote? Of course not. So anyone who simply assumes that anytime a Democrat/liberal wins a close election they must have committed widespread voter fraud is utter nonsense.

    Here's a good read!

  10. Fouster: On what do you base lying/cheating by Conservatives? My evidence is the thuggery and astroturfing in Madison over the last few months. My evidence is the "found" ballots for Al Franken in Minnesota. My evidence is the BIG LIE that "Bush stole the 2000 election". My evidence is Chicago (Democrat) politics.

  11. Well then Deekman, you ain't got much do ya? Unless you count your Hannity talking points...

  12. Al Franken, Bob Dornan, ...

There's no question about (D) vote-fraud in this State. The Milwaukee cop-shop issued a report detailing a lot of it in the '00 Presidential.

And they're like most folks; they'll keep doing it (it works, after all) until they get caught.

Like the bozo Big Honcho Health Exec who voted in Illinois AND in Wisconsin, same day, '04 Presidential.

  13. I simply asked why Dad29 implies that "lying and cheating" is a tool only for Democrats.

I think this will be a very interesting recount. How hard will be for a Koch-funded army of attorneys sitting in every Town of Lake Mills office, challenging ballots, to scrape up 250+ votes statewide?

Given the number of recalls that may happen in the years ahead, I bet there will be more than a few close races and even more recounts.

Give thanks to Big Fitz for doing his part to increase the crazy and decrease the civility and increase the polarization.

I wish for more politicians of either stripe who are wise enough to behave like they don't have a mandate to make their fantasies come true.

I dont think I need to go on. Foust, I think it's fair to say it's a pretty one sided coin. If you have evidence to the contrary I'd like to see it. The GOP isn't exactly the community organizing type.

  15. Foust: Can I have your evidence of Koch-funded anything in this state? And, "Well everyone knows that Koch....blah, blah, blah" is not evidence.

    Halliburton too hard to spell?

  16. Deekaman--Can I have your evidence that widespread voter fraud occurred in this election? You know, actual proof besides unfounded accusations everytime a Democrat wins a close election?

    Probably not.

I suggest you read this book. Good stuff.

  17. So Deekaman, who's behind Club for Growth, Americans for Prosperity, and the just-add-water instant group who suggested that JoKlo put an old farmer in jail for refusing to plant big bluestem?

  18. It's interesting to revisit discussions like this one 10 days later. In that time, J-Klop went from a winner by the thinnest of margins to a loser. Vote fraud allegations from the Right now come from the Left.

Since Foust kicked off this thread with: "Wow, insult the overworked county clerks. Is it easier to insult people when you're anonymous and on a blog? Would it be more difficult to meet a county clerk, see what they do, and then bluster and call them dishonest? Is this how you taught your children to behave? ...does that mean he's been running around speaking out against all the mean things and nasty language leveled at Kathy Nickolaus?

  19. Roland, you actually pay attention to Foust?

    I don't.
