So Scott Walker proposed a reduction in Milwaukee County employee compensation.
According to BLS, (May 2009), State and Local Government workers in SE Wisconsin earn a mean wage of $26.24/hour (plus benefits.)
Same chart, "private industry" workers in SE Wisconsin earn a mean wage of $20.24/hour (plus benefits.)
The $6.00/hour differential works out to about $12,500/year.
By the way, d'ya think that "private industry" workers get BETTER benefits than Milwaukee County workers?
