More than half of Yellowstone campers don't bring anything at all except their brains. No guns (illegal and should be), no bear spray, and very few incidences occur, about 1 per year. The incidences that do occur are because people are so damn insistent on being negligent about their food. Is that the bears problem? No. Most people have balls and a brain or a lot of luck.
