What's really funny about it (in an ironic sort of way) is that Hollywood types are a type of icon of everything detestable about the Western culture. Meaning in particularly to the Islamofascist sensibility as well as (many of) our own.Rick Lugarihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16957595491409017184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12897315.post-1155835042085014392006-08-17T12:17:00.000-05:002006-08-17T12:17:00.000-05:00I do wonder how Ridley Scott can be against terror...I do wonder how Ridley Scott can be against terrorism and yet made Kingdom of Heaven a love-tap to Muslims with Christians as bad guys.Jeff Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03892529674664589034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12897315.post-1155822622221304512006-08-17T08:50:00.000-05:002006-08-17T08:50:00.000-05:00Well, you could have expected James Woods to sign ...Well, you could have expected James Woods to sign it, Steve...

As to you, vich...

Did you ever hear of "paragraphs"?

And by the way, the last Christian Crusade ended about, oh, 500 years ago.

So lay off the "all religions" crap.Dad29https://www.blogger.com/profile/08554276286736923821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12897315.post-1155819966750193752006-08-17T08:06:00.000-05:002006-08-17T08:06:00.000-05:00Very noble act indeed, so many big names in the ...Very noble act indeed, so many big names in the entertainment industry coming together to raise their voice against terrorism. But who is to bell the cat? Where is the root of terrorism? If we try to dig and find out, i think the root casue of all terrorism of the type we are experiencing today is religious bigotry. Has anyone got a solutin how to tackle this? How to tackle blind faith, fundamentalism, fanaticism, thoughts of martyring oneself for going to heaven? In the process we create a hell on earth. It applies to all religions and all creeds and all political organisastions Every one of them have shades of extremism tending towards terrorism. When u forcibly prevent a voter from casting his vote during elections, it is the terrorism of the worst kind. When u exploit poor farmers in the third world by heavily subsding the farmers in the rich countries, it is terrorism. When u want to convert others to your faith not by reasoning but by force, it is terrorism. Evangelism or whatever euphemism u can call it by. The days of liberalism are dead. What stares us in the face is utter chaos the world over with more than nine countries alredy possessing atomic weapons and terrorist organisations being one up in their R & D efforts to find the perfect explosive. And how to make an atomic kit at home using simple devices. What then are we to do? Force is not the solution. Probably we have to wait for one more prophet to come and preach peaceful existence to us. Radical reforms are called for in all religions. Toleration of other faiths and beliefs, treating all humankind as brethren, helping the poor to get jobs and attain a minimum standard of life. These are the priority areas. I am not a prophet of doom, but i feel if we donot addressthese problems urgently, humanity is heading towards self-destruction.vichchoobhaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06654724794859077478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12897315.post-1155819284338679602006-08-17T07:54:00.000-05:002006-08-17T07:54:00.000-05:00Do I have the right blog?
