While We're on FEMA, Bush, etc., ...

From the indefatigable Bulldog-Warrior of Marquette:

A major research institution has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element has been named "Governmentium".

Governmentium (Gv) has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton like particles called peons.

Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of Governmentium causes one reaction to take over four days to complete, when it would normally take less than a second.

There's more--and it's all just as good.

1) Look in Google.

2) Young at heart.

3) Irrelevant and immaterial, not to mention insufferably nosy.

OK. Actually, I've been thinking about my response all day--and it was not very nice.

As you are aware, there are some very nasty people who read blogs. Only a week ago, a far-left blogger in Milwaukee decided to print my name and city of residence on his blogsite, which is at the very least a professional discourtesy.

G. K. Chesterton was an English author and journalist. You can find a lot through Google--but www.gilbertmagazine.com is a good place to start. Although most of his writing was done VERY early in the 20th Century, most of his observations apply 100% to today's problems.

Secondly, I lied when I said that I was "young at heart." Actually, I'm curmudgeonly, and have earned that through diligent practice over more than 40 years.

Still won't talk about my children (yes, there are a few) though. You may call me a paranoid--but I'll remain protective of them, their ages, their sexes, etc., etc., for a long time.

One more thing, Scarlette: your blogger profile is blocked on Blogger.com.

Interesting, no? The text on the "Blocked" page states that the blogger (that's YOU) "does not wish to share information."

Hmmmmm.

Well, it's good to hear you're nice. Face-to-face, so am I, for at least 5-6 seconds at a time.
